Wednesday 5th December 2001
Hosted By: Vince Sorrenti
In December we were privileged to be addressed by one of Australia’s leading project managers – Mr Vincent Sorrenti. In Mr Sorrenti’s own words, there are three types of people in this world.
- Those that make it happen
- Those who watch it happen
- Those who say "Shit! – What happened?"
Certainly, Vince fits into category 1. Like many PMI Sydney members, Vince is a complete workaholic. Averaging more than 200 engagements each year, Vince is in high demand by an Australian corporate world hungry for a host or presenter that can keep an audience awake through even the most tedious marketing event or awards night.
Mr Sorrenti’s credentials are impeccable. A product of the University of Sydney School of Architecture, Vince starred in the infamous Architecture Reviews which have been responsible over the years for turning out many more comedians than architects.
More recently, Vince has written scripts for successful short and feature films, has his own regular column in, and has authored hundreds of feature articles for, Sydney newspapers, and has appeared on numerous TV shows both in the USA and Australia. Since immersing himself in the world of corporate entertainment, Vince has become the benchmark by which all corporate entertainers are measured.
Below are some photos of Sydney PMIers enjoying themselves.
